Dillon Aero offers a variety of training courses composed of classroom & practical instruction.These 3 or 5 day courses establish a strong foundation of knowledge as well as hands on practical experience with the M134D system.

M134D OPERATOR/MAINTAINER TRAINING COURSES

3 DAY TRAINING COURSE

3 DAY TRAINING COURSE

The three-day basic familiarization course is for M134D System operators and may also serve as a refresher for experienced operators. This course establishes a strong foundation of knowledge and provides hands-on, practical experience with the M134D System.

By course completion, operators will understand the procedures for safe handling, effective operation, and intermediate-level maintenance per the Dillon Aero published guides.

Training includes 2 days of in-classroom instruction
and 1 day of live-fire instruction.

Dillon Aero provides live weapons & ammunition, tool kits, training aids, special tools, fixtures, linked inert dummy ammunition for use during all training course.

Course is limited to 4 personnel maximum.

5 DAY TRAINING COURSE

The five-day enhanced training course exposes users to comprehensive Operation and Maintenance of the M134D System and covers more than the Basic Weapon Familiarization Course.

Each student is allotted extended time for practical hands-on exercises with the M134D System, under instructor supervision. Upon course completion, students will have the ability to demonstrate safe and effective operation and perform operator/intermediate level maintenance of the weapon system.

Training includes 4 days of in-classroom instruction and 1 day of live-fire instruction.

Dillon Aero provides live weapons & ammunition, tool kits, training aids, special tools, fixtures, linked inert dummy ammunition for use during all training course.

Course is limited to 6 personnel maximum.

FORWARD ARMING AND REFUELING POINT COURSE (FARP)

This five-day FARP course is designed to make end users proficient in rotary-wing FARP and safety standards and practices. Each student will be required to organize, establish, and conduct live fire iterations from a designated rotary wing platform. Upon course completion students will have gained proficiency and the foundational knowledge of basic FARP procedures, hazards, and fixed forward gunnery procedures.

The Dillon Range Facility offers an excellent platform for fast-paced, sustained live-fire operations simulating mission settings.

Dillon Aero provides aircraft, fuel, live weapons, ammunition, ordnance, and targets for all FARP courses. Customer aircraft can also be used for this training.

Prerequisites to attend this course: US personnel only. Has previously completed a Dillon Aero M134D course or has operator experience and currency on the M134D
